Civil Engineering Drainage Operatives

Due to continued expansion within our Contracting Department, we are seeking to recruit a Drainage Operatives for an immediate start to carry out works in the Penrith and Carlisle area.

The successful candidates would have previous Civil Engineering main contractor experience to support the installation of residential infrastructure and deep drainage.

Licence/Certification

  • UK driving licence (preferred)
  • CSCS card

Negotiable Rates of pay – dependent on experience

Civil Engineering Drainage Foreman

Due to continued expansion within our Contracting Department, we are seeking to recruit a Drainage Foreman. The successful candidate would have previous Civil Engineering main contractor experience to support primarily the installation of residential infrastructure and deep drainage.

The main duties will include:

  1. Setting up and co-ordinating the works
  2. Checking that materials, plant, equipment, and labour are on site to meet with contract and programme requirements.
  3. To monitor and produce good quality of work.
  4. Ensuring safety plans and method statements are adhered to onsite by all operatives and sub-contractors.
  5. Ensure there is a safe system of work in the place for all sites.
  6. Be able to write and keep a daily diary/record sheet.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Site Foreman experience
  • Be able to supervise a team.
  • Confident in taking information from drawings.
  • Good knowledge of Groundworks and Civil Engineering
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence.
  • SSSTS preferred
  • CSCS card

Salary: Competitive and Negotiable Rates of pay – dependent on experience
